Plymouth has so much going on this summer kicking off this week with MTV Crashes. The Hoe will be alive with people, music and lights! Each year Plymouth hosts the British Fireworks Championships lights up the sky over the Sound. The Hoe and Harbour becomes a hive of activity with locals and visitors alike.  Get the date in your diary 9 – 10 August 2017.

Plymouth Seafood Festival is back for its 6th year and is set to bring The Barbican and Sutton Harbour alive with entertainment, activities and dishes to celebrate the city’s fantastic caught seafood.

Plymouth is the first city in the world to be awarded the Fish2Fork Blue City status for its commitment to sourcing sustainable fish. Between Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 September 2017 there will be opportunities to watch inspirational, regional and celebrity chefs who will delight you with their tantalising dishes at the Cookery Theatre. Ocean City Blues and Jazz Festival takes place 11 – 13 August 2017 in the Barbican and Harbour area of the city . Always a popular event.

And for those of you who are into your sailing don’t miss out on the Rolex Fastnet, now in its 47th edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club will start in the Solent from Cowes, Isle of Wight, on Sunday 6th August, and will finish in Plymouth via the Fastnet Rock in time for the British Firework Championships on Wednesday 9 – Thursday 10 August.
